How do I find books?

You can search for books using the Discover Search bar on the library homepage (filter for “books” using the choices on the left side of the results page) or in the catalog by clicking the square “Books” button. Search for a book using the title, author’s name, or a keyword such as “Picasso,” “memoir,” or “feminist film theory.”

Click on a result to open up the catalog record for a book. The record will give you the book’s general location in the building (i.e. Brooklyn Stacks) as well as its Dewey call number, which tells you its specific location on the shelf.
